My name is John Holley
Matthews — John, if you please. Certainly not Mr. or (much
worse) Dr. Matthews. I finished my PhD in ecology,
evolution, and behavioral ecology in 2006 at the
University of Texas at
Austin. My
advisor was Camille Parmesan, and I worked very closely
with my committee there on dragonfly and bird migration
research. This team included John Abbott, Jay Banner,
Tom Juenger, and Michael Singer. I now work for
WWF providing climate adaptation support
on freshwater conservation and economic development
worldwide. When not traveling, I work out of my Oregon,
USA, home-office, where I live with my wife, my cat, and
my two dogs. Kerry and I grew up in Texas, USA. I can be
skyped at sixmilesmore.
