Community-based adaptation network

The Global Initiative on Community Based Adaptation (GICBA)  (www.weadapt.org/gicba) was successfully launched during the 5th Community-Based Adaptation Conference that took place in Dhaka, Bangladesh earlier this year. The launch of this dynamic initiative is a response to a growing interest in Community Based Adaptation (CBA) approaches and strategies to climate change in developing countries. The well-attended CBA focused conferences that have been held since 2005, have only served to further emphasize the interest and dynamism that the CBA community continues to demonstrate.
