Position: Monitoring North American Freshwater Biogeochemistry

The US recently
funded a program called the National Ecological
Observatory Network (NEON), which to date has largely
focused on terrestrial ecosystems. The relevance
to climate change should be obvious: monitoring
ecological and hydrological shifts is probably
the most important tool we have for
understanding what kinds of additional impacts
we can expect in the future. This position is
for the freshwater lead for this program.
